Over the past 14 months, Tech Collective has delved into local and national industry data and garnered Rhode Island employer and employee insights via focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and surveys. The findings have been compiled into two Rhode-Island specific reports.

Why IT Works – Rhode Island Information Technology Industry Skills Study Bioscience – Rhode Island Bioscience Industry Skills Study (Feb. 2014)

Each report comprehensively identifies workforce skills gaps at the entry and mid-levels; explores industry education and career pathways from K-12 through incumbent

Each of the Skills Gap sessions feature a panel of Rhode Island leaders and stakeholders, and is an opportunity to discuss the findings of the reports as well as current and future initiatives the state can undertake to grow and innovate in these industries. There will be three forums per industry, each focusing on: Industry, Education, and Government, respectively.
