The RI FIRST Tech Challenge robotics program is celebrating 10 years this season!
Ten years of offering our RI students the opportunity to explore STEM in a fun and exciting way. Last season RI FTC had 48 middle and high school age teams participating. I am hoping your students are interested in getting involved this year.
Now is the time to form a team. The team can involve students grades 7-12. The team can be during school time, after school, out of school, at home or with a civic organization. An educator, parent, school volunteer or industry partner can serve as your coach. You will find attached to this email information on forming a team. You will also find information at http://www3.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc
Please encourage all who are interested to join us at New England Tech in East Greenwich on Saturday September 12th for the FIRST Kick Off. The program will feature a presentation from members of the Electric Boat robotic welding division, workshops run by high school robotic teams, greetings from Congressman Langevin and the challenge revealed for the season! There might even be a robot or two testing out the new challenge!
For more information on New England Tech and our programs or questions on FIRST contact Erin Flynn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you at a robot match this season!
