Meet Jody Gill, OSHEAN's Accounting Manager
What do you do at OSHEAN?
Jody is responsible for the accounting operations for OSHEAN, including BTOP. Her responsibilities include: general accounting, management of the monthly close process, financial analysis and statement preparation. Jody also manages the preparation for the external audit. She provides analysis and support to the OSHEAN team, and interprets financial transactions. Jody works diligently to provide OSHEAN’s Board of Directors with financial information indicating OSHEAN's performance.
How do OSHEAN members benefit from what you do?
Jody’s objective is to have timely and accurate billing for OSHEAN members, and to ensure that all of OSHEAN's vendors are paid on-time. She also handles the complex financial side of OSHEAN's BTOP project, which means that she is an integral part of the team that helps provide vastly increased broadband capacity to members.
What is your Background?
Jody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Her experience includes accounting positions held in the fields of technology, manufacturing, and distribution. She also previously served as an auditor in public accounting. Jody likes to spend her free time with her husband, Peter, and their children, Caitlin and David. Since her children are now either in college, or will soon-to-be entering, Jody and her husband are enjoying more time for themselves. She likes to read, watch Home and Garden TV, socialize with her friends, exercise, and spend time focusing on her healthy eating regiment. She is looking forward to traveling more in the future.
